Third Dismissal

Oh my, oh my.

I'm a freak. I've admitted it before and will again. I love this show. Even when it drives me nuts. Masochist much?

Luke - buh bye. Seriously. I don't care *how* much like Orly you look (and, yes I love Orly) you aren't right for this competition. Go sing in your acapella group. And hubbs hates your voice and I don't want to listen to him complain every week. So...go home. Please.

David A - I like you. A lot. We know that. You're so cute, I want to put you in my pocket. But....I really wasn't thrilled with this week's performance - which is refreshing. (one of the sane things that Paula said. She was in rare form, wasn't she??). Being brought back down to earth is good. And yes, we need some lighter, brighter tunes from you soon.

Danny - You entertain me. You make me laugh. You need to stay at least for another week.

David C - I gotta give the boy props this week. He did really, really well. Enough so that I rewound Tivo and listened to it again. Note that I said "listened" to it again. I couldn't watch. Sorry but the guy's hair BOTHERS me. Although....it looked the best that it ever has, last night.

Jacuzzi - Must. go. Now.

Jason C. - I love the boy. I love his song choices, I love his attitude (or lack thereof). I love his singing style. I love his look (including the dreds!). He is love. I thought he did a great job on Hallelujah last night. I have the Cohen version but now I need to find the Jeff Buckley version.

Michael John - meh. I'm finding it hard to get excited about him. Honestly, I didn't think he sounded great last night but he definitely deserves to stay.

David H - Saving the best for last. I've been high on this guy since auditions. He's one of my favs. He's #2...after Jason, I would say. He has a great voice and a great look. *nods* Yep. He's hot. And now, to find out he was a gay stripper? BO.NUS. Please, please, pleeeeeeze don't send him home on Thursday. I actually got the phone out (after a 3 year hiatus) last night in order to keep him around. Simon will have a conniption if he's sent home (and I might just cry....good lord, it has been 3 years since that too).
*****you need to go re-watch this. I thought I heard it the first time through, but had to re-watch/listen. After the performance, Simon leans to Randy and says..."Tell him you like the way he stripped it down." *snort* Love Simon. Love David H.*****

Going home? I hope Luke and Chikezie. But maybe Danny?

more to come.....

I'm back. With the girls...

Asia'h - Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuurl, why do you do this to yourself? Taking on Whitney. The week after you take on Celine. Have you never watched American Idol before? You don't take on divas unless you can outdo them (or change up the song such that it is far different from the original). And the fashion director needs to be shot for putting you in that outfit. I like you a lot. I hope you stay, but...

Kady -
You don't listen well, do you? I asked you to go home last week. At least your attitude is better than it was a couple weeks ago. If you're gonna stick around, I'm happy about that! I thought the song was a poor choice - too low for your range.

Amanda - I really liked you tonight. I was a fan early and then last week's performance was horrid. I hope that you justified yourself to the fans and that they'll keep you around this week. I agree with the judges though - you've got to emote. I know that you pride yourself in being calm and not letting things get to you (which likely serves you really well in your nursing career) but for people to love you, you've got to show some feelings. Work on it.

Carly - Good job, not much else to say.

Kristy Lee - You may have just saved yourself with that song. I was ready for you to go (still would be fine with it) but you might have bought yourself another week. I agree that country is a genre that fits you better than the other stuff you've been singing.

Ramiele - You're a doll. I liked your singing this week. I thought that you could have belted a few of those notes a bit more...in fact, was looking for that, but you didn't quite deliver. Still, hopefully you'll be here next week too.

Brooke - Loved it. What a change from Benetar's version, but I really liked it. You'll stay.

S'yesha - Although you did Whitney (don't do that!!) it was pretty good. You should be safe.

Bwahaha! .. I totally missed Simon's comment .. but I LOVE it!

Btw, something in the back of my head remembers one of the judges telling him 'You've got some moves' after last week's performance .. but I'm probably wrong.

As you know, I agree 100% with your review again .. right down to needing the JB version of Hallelujah. (Think I'll get onto that now!

Hmmm....I think you might be right! At least it is worth going back and re-watching last week's (and the week before's, and Hollywood week's, and....) just to see, right?

Not that I saved his performances or anything. *glances about*
