First off – I wanted MORE DOLLY!! *pouts*

I love that lady. LOVE!

Brooke – Brooke sounded good tonight, but not great. I love her to pieces though so it is easy for me to overlook her missteps. I don’t know that she seemed to connect with the song quite as much as I would liked to have seen. Perhaps it is hard for her to sing about a woman trying to steal her man?

David C. – Wow, so we start off with confessions of a coverer. LOL. I guess the heat was getting to him..or to AI. That’s okay, best to put it in the open. I just wish it had been said during (or not edited out of) the original tapings. Oh well. On to tonight’s….he looked great. Another haircut and it is getting better and better. What a transformation from early in the year when I couldn’t bear to look at the screen while he was performing (‘tis true..ask hubbs!). He sounded good too. His own take on Sparrow..good job.

Ramiele – Meh. Not thrilled at all with this. Maybe she was nervous beyond belief (she admitted as much) but it needed to be better. Of course, since the Philippine consulate in NY has taken it upon themselves to get behind Ramiele, it might be a while before she goes home. Although she should go tonight.

Jason C. – Jason can do no wrong. You know that by now. Was it his best? No. It didn’t touch Hallelujah. But it was good. It was up-tempo and I thought that while it started a little shaky, his voice did have a confidence in parts that was nice to see. I want even more confidence next week, Jason!!

Carly – Sounded very good. Still not feeling you, dawg. I don’t know why. And yeah…the clothes. Gah. Find a shopper.

David A. – Nice. Really, really nice. He sounded great, confident. And he made Dolly cry. Wow, right?

Kristy Lee - *shakes head* Bad, bad, bad. “Best performance to date,” Paula? What’re you on???? I didn’t like it. Surprised? Hey…at least I’m consistent! If she could get voted off during country week? That would be too perfect, wouldn’t it?

Syesha – I wish she would have stuck with the Dolly version. I like Dolly’s version than Whitney’s anyway, but it was inevitable that our diva would either do Whitney straight up or somehow incorporate her. *shrugs* Oh well.

Michael Johns – Nice job! Perhaps the best of the evening. I liked it. I think that perhaps the boy has been holding back. Not a bad strategy (as long as he could assure not getting voted off early). We'll see if he continues with an upward trend next week. Still not up in my favorites category, but better.

Going home? Well, one can only hope for KLC about so many times, eh? So....Ramiele.
