I don't have time for a proper post, but if Paula's "blunder" last night on American Idol wasn't evidence that this whole thing is rigged, I don't know what is. It irritates me to an extreme degree. I found myself listening to the rest of the comments (from all judges) for the rest of the night with an extremely cynical ear.
For those of you in the dark - each contestant sang two songs last night. However, after their first song, the judges went through and gave them each some feedback. Supposedly the judges had written their comments down on a piece of paper while the Idols were singing. *rolls eyes* Which totally explains why Paula already had notes written down for the SECOND song that Jason was going to sing, after he'd only sung one song, right? Pfffffft.
C'mon AI, get it together. I'm not convinced that "those sent home" are always based on the actual public voting, but at least let us believe that the judges really do listen to the performances and give their comments based on the performances instead of some preconceived notion of what they think of the person.

I agree that the whole fiasco cast a very strange light over the show - it wasn't helped by the multitude of different 'explanations'
Possibly one of the most frustrating I heard, was Paula on Ryan's radio show. She effectively said that "none" of the judges heard Jason's first song, because of last minute production changes, and that she was reading off notes from his live rehearsal of the second song *rolls eyes*
Whatever the real situation, it'll no doubt blow over a little sooner now, than it would have had Jason been sent home!
