Oh my. This afternoon one of my friends called my attention to the fact that my last blog in here (although it was written in March) was regarding Michael Jackson.
I guess it is time for me to write something else in here.
*sigh*
What a shocker of a week.
While not being an over the top Michael fanatic, I was definitely a fan. Especially back in the day. Early-80s and Mid-80s Michael…something to be revered. What a talent, a cultural phenomenon, an icon, a genius, a revolution. And yes, I’ll say it….back in the day he was even hot! He forever changed the world. Yeah, you can get cynical on me and say that we each, in our own way, change the world with our presence. That the world is not the same as it would be at any point, after each of us has lived. This is true. But….Michael was something else. Those MOVES! Have you *ever* seen anyone move like he did? Ever?
True, he was eccentric. Those of you who know me though, know that I love eccentric. You’ll never hear me talk bad of unconventional.
Michael might not have been a perfect human (so few of us are. Heh.) but that’s not really for me to say, is it?
We’ll forever have your music, your dance steps, your undeniable impact on entertainment. But the world will miss you, Michael. Say hi to the big guy.
